The ECP had already won three times this season against EV Füssen.

In the Oberliga duel on Friday, however, there was the highest defeat of the season to date.

Füssen - The winning streak of EC Peiting against EV Füssen - it has broken.

After three successful games in this Oberliga season, Oberbayern suffered a bitter 8-1 defeat in the Allgäu on Friday evening.

Once again, the ECP only had a small squad (14 field players) available.

Meanwhile, Füssen could muster eight defenders and eleven strikers.

Looking back, ECP trainer Anton Saal pointed out something else: Readiness and will count for him, “and neither was there today”.

The team recently played two good away games in Rosenheim (loss in overtime) and Lindau (win in overtime).

Yesterday's performance showed: "You can't get anything without work." "We endured the game," said Saal with disappointment in his voice.

EC Peiting clearly loses 1:8 in Füssen

Ty Morris won the initial face-off, but that was it in the first third with Peitinger experiencing success.

The Füssener (most recently with three defeats in four games) found their way immediately.

Samuel Payeur had a huge chance in the first minute.

The first majority brought the lead: Shortly before the Peitingen penalty expired, Maximilian Dropmann made it 1-0 (3rd) by deflecting a shot from Marc Besl.

The ECP only occasionally came in front of the Füssener goal in the first third.

EVF keeper Benedikt Hötzinger parried all shots, including Nardo Nagtzaam's shot from close range (5th).

On the other side, there was significantly more activity in the Peitingen defense zone.

After a shot by Ondrej Zelenka, which ECP keeper Florian Hechenrieder parried, Justus Meyl converted the rebound to make it 2-0 (8th).

More chances for Füssen followed.

When both teams only had four field players on the ice - the referees consistently drew a petty line - Füssen's Tobias Baader pulled the trigger;

the puck found its way under Hechenrieder's schooner to make it 3-0 (14').

Towards the end of the third there was a Peitinger power play, but the attempts by Florian Stauder and Simon Maier brought nothing.

At the beginning of the middle section, the people from Peiting were much more aggressive and took command.

The first actions were not yet successful.

Nagtzaam circled the puck - after a shot blocked by the goalkeeper - unhappily against the post (22nd).

Shortly afterwards, Peiting had a power play – after just 14 seconds, Ty Morris deflected a shot from Lukas Motloch from long range to make it 1:3 (25th).

Peiting scores a goal, Füssen responds promptly

Füssen's response was immediate: after a long diagonal pass, Marc Sill rushed towards Hechenrieder and made it 4-1 with a solid low shot (26').

After that, the ECP had two power plays (27th, 36th), in which the guests put a lot of pressure on them - despite numerous shots, the puck didn't find its way into the goal.

Füssener had more luck in the end.

Zelenka completed a worthwhile individual action with the 5:1 (32nd).

Peiting was in the majority for the first one and a half minutes of the final third.

But the situation and the chances of Marco Habermann (45th) and Lukas Gohlke (47th) passed unused.

Füssen increased the lead to 6-1 with a nice counterattack – Vincent Wiedemann's great preparatory work was converted by ex-Peitinger Pius Seitz to make it 6-1 (52nd).

Besl even scored with a powerful shot to make it 7:1 (54th).

Afterwards, the guests were properly presented with two or three activities.

The ECP caught itself again, but then conceded the goal to make it 8:1 (60 th ) by Sill in the power play.
