Der Dorfen is going to Schweinfurt for the only game of the weekend in full force.

Dorfen

– After a two-week forced break due to corona and now four competitive games in arrears, the ESC Dorfen puck hunters are again challenged this weekend in the Bayernliga relegation round.

In the only game this weekend, tonight at 8 p.m. at ERV Schweinfurt, coach Franz Steer has a largely filled squad available again.

Lower Franconia started the playdowns relatively well.

At TSV Erding, the Mighty Dogs had to pass at the start with 4:6, then won at home against Geretsried 5:3 and were also unscathed in Königsbrunn with 3:2.

In the Bayernliga main round, the Ice Pirates were ahead twice in January: Dorfen won 7:6 at home after extra time and in Schweinfurt 6:5 after extra time.

Before the start of the season, the Mighty Dogs added three defensemen and three forwards, including Canadian Joshua Bourne.

The second contingent position is held by his compatriot Dylan Hood, who can usually be found among the best league scorers.

_The front row of the Mighty Dogs with Hood (6 points), Jonas Manger (4) and Marcel Grüner (3) is extremely dangerous.

In the meantime, the Lower Franconia have strengthened again with the German-Czech defender Jacub Körner.

The personnel situation at the ESC has improved again.

All players suffering from Corona went to the cardiologist and, according to ice hockey boss Manfred Detterbeck, got the green light from him.

The Ice Pirates can again muster their two parades with Tomas Vrba, Lukas Kirsch and Urban Sodja as well as Christian Göttlicher, Sandro Schroepfer and Christoph Lönnig.

Above all, however, the gaps in the defense are almost closed again.

According to coach Steer, it is to be hoped “that the boys will find their rhythm again straight away after the long break”.

The two goalkeepers Luca Endres and Andreas Marek, winger Basti Rosenkranz and the youngsters Josef Folger and Florian Hartl have also reported back.

So you can be excited
