Points are needed - that's the motto of the Peißenberg "Miners" in the away game against Waldkraiburg.

As for the line-up on offense, things are looking good.

Peißenberg – In the Bayernliga main round, the Peißenberg “Miners” still had the second-best defense in the league.

Coach Christian Kratzmeir's team only conceded 2.9 goals per game on average.

In the promotion round, however, the defense bulwark of the "Miners" got clear cracks and crumbled.

In the four games, the Peißenberger box rang 28 times.

“That reflects our current condition.

The team is insecure and even experienced players make simple mistakes,” Kratzmeir is aware of the problems.

The personal worries do not make the situation any easier.

In the games up to the Corona break in November, the Peissenberger defense was almost completely complete.

After that, important players kept falling out: Manuel Singer injured, Martin Lidl blocked – and Corona failures again and again.

Kratzmeir was often forced to make changes on the defensive.

Most recently he had to do without Max Brauer and Max Malzatzki.

At least Malzatzki is available again in the game this Friday at EHC Waldkraiburg.

However, the use of the ailing Dominik Ebentheuer is questionable.

Peißenberger "Miners" recently with personnel problems

On the other hand, the "Miners" can muster the full band on the offensive, since Sinan Ondörtoglu has served his ban.

“Everything that can play up front is there.

It's an unusual situation," says Kratzmeir.

"We have to choose in the coaching team and decide who is in the best mood, but it can also be that we play with four rows."

The Peissenbergers only played once against the Waldkraiburgers in the main round and lost 6-2.

In the promotion round, the "lions" won only one of four games.

With a win, the "Miners" can draw level.

"The train for the play-offs hasn't left yet," Kratzmeir is convinced.

Kratzmeir warns of Waldkraiburg's top row

The gap to the current fourth, ESC Kempten, is six points.

"We still play against every opponent and still have it in our own hands," Kratzmeir is confident with ten games left.

"When the necessary self-confidence is back, I'm not afraid of any opponent."

With the Waldkraiburgers, he focused primarily on the attack line with the protagonists Christian Neuert (6 points/2 goals/4 assists in the promotion round) and Michal Popelka (5 points/1 goal/4 assists).

"They decide the games," says Kratzmeir.

But he certainly sees a chance to take something with him from Waldkraiburg, provided his team can get the top row under control.

In the preliminary round, Waldkraiburg was the Bayernliga team with the highest efficiency in the manpower game.

In 128 shorthanded situations, the "Lions" conceded only 16 goals.

That meant a penalty-kill rate of 87.5 percent.

In addition, reach eleven undernumbered goals.
