Having fun is the most important thing about sport, says Isen's department manager Annegret Wilke.

Oberding's district league team is getting out this year, the other two TuS teams and TSV Wartenberg and TSV Isen are continuing.

Erding

– Premature end for the district league men of TuS Oberding, all other volleyball teams from the district pull through the round.

These are the reactions after the Bavarian Volleyball Association announced the next steps for this season.

Although it remains in a mode with the first and second round in the respective leagues.

However, there is an offer to the clubs that they can withdraw from the game without being fined or relegated.

Non-relegation also applies to teams that canceled their team earlier in the season.

But there should still be an ascent.

The association hopes that these decisions will take the pressure off the teams.

The district league men of TuS Oberding accepted the offer and withdrew their team with immediate effect.

Team leader Chris Sieracki: “Unfortunately, we had only played two matchdays after a few had already been postponed so far.

That would have made it too time-consuming for us.” The district league men still had to play eight match days, which would have meant a long Saturday in the hall for the Oberdingers practically every weekend in February and March.

"In addition, it is not clear whether the matchdays could always take place or whether there would be postponements again," says Sieracki and adds: "It's not a problem for us, we didn't have any real promotion ambitions anyway." He finds the option on the part of the team of the association well: "It takes the pressure off us of having to keep playing."

However, the second TuS men and the mixed relay continue.

Even at TSV Isen, the season is not over yet, as department head Annegret Wilke says.

“Practically all of the men and the mixed squad are boosted.

We make the best of the situation.” It is very positive that the clubs can decide for themselves whether they want to continue: “In my opinion, the association has done a good job.”

In the youth there was a regulation in the district leagues that affected the U18 girls from Isen: The respective bottom of the table was deleted from the table and slipped one class lower into the district league.

Wilke: "It's not that bad for us, maybe there will be more successes to celebrate there again." It is important that you can keep playing and enjoy volleyball.

The teams of TSV Wartenberg also continue.

Department head Danny Spielberg: "We sat down and decided this." The Wartenbergers developed a hygiene concept especially for volleyball.

A quick test is always included - even if the player is already boosted: "We play it safe."

TSV will not have spectators at home games: “In view of the high incidence, there shouldn’t be too many people in the hall.” Spielberg is also satisfied with the association’s specifications: “Anyone who wants to play should play.

Who doesn't, doesn't.

It's good that everyone can decide for themselves." In any case, the people from Wartenberg are happy that it's going on, and they're all excited to finally be able to pursue their favorite sport again.
