NBA: Golden State Defeats Lakers, 11th straight loss to Brooklyn | Israel today

2022-02-13T07:24:14.000Z

A night full of games in the best league in the world: Clay Thompson and Steph Kerry arranged a victory over LeBron James • Miami overcame a comeback of Kyrie Irving and Brooklyn • Joel Ambide is passionate about Philly's (without Harden) victory over Cleveland • And the Pinkis run continues

Aside from the loss of Washington and Danny Abdia to Sacramento, ten more games were played tonight (Saturday through Sunday) in the NBA, in the final week before the All-Star break.

Clay Thompson and Steph Kerry spoiled LeBron James a historic milestone, Phoenix abused Orlando, the Clippers retaliated against Dallas, Brooklyn lost for the 11th time in a row and Ambide provided a play in Philadelphia's win over Cleveland.

Golden State (15:42) - LA Lakers (31:26) 115: 117

Clay Thompson scored 16 points out of his 33 in a game (season record) in the final quarter, Steph Kerry scored an important basket clutch 46 seconds to end the game, and so Golden State defeated the Lakers and ruined another LeBron James landmark.

Kerry finished with 24 points, while Andrew Wiggins added 19 points and helped the Warriors stop a streak of two losses.

LeBron finished with 26 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists but missed the first shot from the line after Kerry fouled him with a three-pointer with 2.4 seconds left.

The second he scored, but the third he has already deliberately missed to try to take a rebound and send the game into overtime, but without success.

Earlier in the game James extended his 25-point streak to 22 games, overtaking Karim Abdul Jabbar with the highest number of points in the NBA in the regular season and playoffs along with 44,157 points.

In the first half James equaled the record of Abdul Jabbar, and at the beginning of the third quarter passed it with a three.

Phoenix (10:46) - Orlando (45:13) 105: 132

Phoenix's run continues and big time.

Devin Booker scored 26 points tonight, Diandra Eyton added 17 points and 10 rebounds and the Suns recorded their fifth straight win.

Chris Paul recorded his 30th double-double of the season with 10 points and 15 assists, with nine Phoenix players scoring double figures en route to winning 16 of the last 17 games and with the best balance in the league - 10:46.

Rookie Jaylen Sags led the Magic with 20 points, but a season-high 40 assists from Phoenix just left no chance.

Dallas (24:33) - LA Clippers (30:28) 99:97

Luka Doncic was unstoppable in the final quarter with 23 points from his 45 in the game, just two days after scoring 28 points in the first quarter (out of 51 in the game) in a win over the Clippers.

But this time it was not enough and Reggie Jackson's 24 points were worth quick revenge for the team from City of Angels.

The Mavericks received just 4 points from the bench.

Miami (20:37) - Brooklyn (27:29) 111: 115

The Nets continue to deteriorate with an 11th straight loss despite a comeback in the final quarter led by Kyrie Irving (20 points in the final quarter out of 29 in the game).

Am Adbayo led Miami with 19 points and 14 rebounds, and Duncan Robinson added 17 points (6 of 10 from outside the arc).

Jimmy Butler and Tyler Hiro scored 13 each.

Brooklyn came back from a 21-point deficit and in the final quarter a three by Cam Thomas reduced the lead to just one point - 109: 110.

Brooklyn had a chance to equalize or take the lead in a 111: 113 hit, but Kyle Laurie managed to snatch the ball and PJ Tucker scored twice from the line and arranged a fifth straight win for Miami, which continues to lead the East table.

Philadelphia (22:34) - Cleveland (22:35) 93: 103

Still without James Harden coming on a trade from Brooklyn and yet to make his debut, the Sixers got a play from Joel Ambide with a triple-double of 40 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists - and one monstrous dunk - en route to a home win over the Cavaliers.

A MONSTER performance from @JoelEmbiid 🤯

Tyrese Maxi assisted Ambide with 16 points and Philly counts a second straight win since the trade that sent Ben Simmons to Brooklyn for Harden.

Ambide extended his streak to 31 games with 25 points or more.

On the other hand, Darius Garland's 27 points were not enough.
