The American football party lives its big day.
The city of Los Angeles receives the 56th edition of the Super Bowl with the never before seen meeting between the Rams and the Bengals.
The unprecedented final represents a change of era after the retirement of the maximum winner of the championship, Tom Brady (seven times).
The local team aspires to win its second title, the first was achieved in the 1999-2000 season but defending the city of St. Louis, Missouri.
If they win tonight, they will be the second franchise to win the championship at home.
The first were the Buccaneers last year.
The match will be played at 3:30 p.m. (local time), 5:30 p.m. (Central Mexico time) and at 0:30 a.m. on Monday in Spain.
The Bengals, with a team full of youngsters, want to break with history to finally win a Super Bowl.
They've lost two to San Francisco in 1982 and 1989. Two years ago they were the worst team in the entire NFL and have rebuilt themselves thanks to quarterback Joe Burrow and the speed of Ja'Marr Chase.
The great NFL game also vindicates rap and hip-hop.
A historical tandem of the genre will participate in the halftime show: Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige.

And yes, this is the sporting spectacle that shows the true marrow of America.
For this reason, all kinds of personalities meet in the boxes, including basketball player LeBron James or actor Sean Penn.

They were designed by Dominic Ciambrone, who runs a highly sought-after shoe shop in downtown Los Angeles called The Shoe Surgeon.
Seven other Rams players will play today in shoes specially designed by Ciambrone.

The NFL recognized
Ja'Marr Chase
, 21, as the rookie of the year.
He is the great promise of the Bengals.
He is the star wide receiver and came through the ranks at the University of Louisiana (LSU).
In Cincinnati they need him to connect well to Joe Burrow's passes.

If there is a player who draws attention for his high performance as well as for his unbridled way of living life ... That is
Odell Beckham Jr.,
the receiver of the Rams who today, in his first Super Bowl, took the field with some diamond-encrusted Nike sneakers.
I know you'll doubt it, but in the past Beckham Jr. has gone out to play with a watch worth more than $300,000.
Here I leave a profile that we published in EL PAÍS

You already said it, Diego.
The SoFi is the most modern stadium in the NFL.
Its proximity to the Los Angeles airport made modifications to the work.
Unlike many other venues in the league, the field is not at street level, but 30 meters below.
Upon entering one is in the middle.
More than 70,000 fans are expected here today.
All of them must show that they are vaccinated and wear a KN-95 mask.

According to ESPN's predictor, the
Rams
have a
66.3% chance of winning
the Super Bowl.
The
Bengals
have 33.7%.
However, the betting algorithms do not count on the fact that the Cincinnati team has been the
underdog
, that is, the non-favorite during the playoffs.
Thus he knocked down the Raiders, Titans and the Chiefs.

The doors of the SoFi stadium, the newest in the NFL because it opened in 2020, have been open for a couple of hours.
The players of both teams have gone out to do previous warm-ups.
The euphoria is at its peak.

Not everything will be rap tonight.
Country singer
Mickey Guyton
will be in charge of singing the national anthem.
Last year Guyton, originally from Texas but raised in Los Angeles, made history by becoming the first black singer to be nominated for a Grammy.

Good afternoon from a hot Los Angeles.
There are 29 degrees.
There is still an hour and a half to go until the start of the game, but everything seems to indicate that today the warmest Super Bowl in history will be played.
The previous record was set by SB VII (1973), which was also played here at the Coliseum.
That game left us the legend of the Dolphins, who did not lose a single game of the 17 played.
What will the return of the final to Los Angeles bring us today?

If you only watch the
Super Bowl
for the halftime show, welcome.
This year there is a very powerful cartel and that pays its debt to the NFL: there will be rap, hip-hop and a lot of style with Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre and Eminem.
In 2021, the criticism was excessively harsh with the participation of The Weeknd, but they lost sight of the fact that the pandemic hit the league and its environment.
There was not a full in the stands in Tampa Bay.
This time yes and with all the machinery ready.
