Fofana, again and again

Once again, Seko Fofana was impressive this Sunday, during the Lensoise victory over Bordeaux (3-2).

For 95 minutes, he kept running, giving the impression of being everywhere.

He filled the holes in defense and swallowed the spaces on the other side of the field, especially on the left wing.

His start to the game was on par with his teammates, who outrageously dominated the first half hour.

He was rewarded with a goal on an outside of the foot (26th).

In the second half, he gave air to Racing, which suffered more.

As a true captain, he trained his partners in the wake of his intensity and accuracy.

Yet in delicacy with his thigh, he finished on the hats with breakthroughs until the last moments (87th, 90th, 90 + 2).

The former Udinese would have delivered an assist if Da Costa had put more power in his shot.

A boss match.

Poussin avoided the worst

At 3-0 after 26 minutes, many have imagined a long way of the cross for Bordeaux.

And if the Girondins have avoided a new correction, it is partly thanks to their goalkeeper.

Five minutes after the third goal, he saved his team for the first time in front of Kalimuendo (31st).

For 95 minutes, he covered the depth offered by his defense with exits far from his surface (39th, 62nd).

His kicking game was pretty good, like this clearance for Ellis (9th).

On the other hand, he scares himself just before half-time, being countered by Kalimuendo (45th).

But he made up for it when he returned from the locker room.

The replacement for Costil allowed his people to continue to believe in it when, at 3-2, he won a new face-to-face.

This time, it was Ganago who stumbled on him, surprised by his supersonic exit (68th).

At the very end of the game,

he still avoided the addition being a little more salty against (90 + 1) and Da Costa (90 + 2).

Like what, a goalkeeper can concede three goals but achieve a good performance.

Decisive Kakuta

Gaël Kakuta did what we ask of him: to be decisive.

From the start of the match, the native of Lille distinguished himself with disconcerting technical ease (7th).

His decisive pass for Kalimuendo is luminous (10th).

While everyone was expecting him to make a withdrawal, he found his scorer with a hidden pass.

All blind, please.

All before converting a penalty (22nd).

Like his teammates, he fell asleep somewhat after the first half hour but feasted intermittently.

His sombrero followed by a failed recovery was the perfect example (47th).

He went out all the same to the applause of Bollaert (62nd).

Plasil, (almost) winning coaching

If Bordeaux was able to pull itself together after the third goal conceded, it also owes it to its interim coach.

Jaroslav Plasil made the choice to move to three behind, which stabilized his entire team.

Yet not varnished with several last minute absences (Pembele, Adli) and big individual errors (see below), the former midfielder has adapted well.

He kept giving instructions on his bench, twice circulating small papers to inform his players of tactical changes.

The bet to bring in Adli, diminished, paid off as the player on loan from Milan created discrepancies.

An interesting first for this novice, who should become assistant to David Guion, whose arrival is scheduled for Monday.

FLOPS

Marcelo did not reassure

Arrived from OL this winter, Marcelo was to bring serenity to a defense in distress.

If he enjoys the benefit of the doubt with a first official match since last August, it is clear that the defender was more worried than anything else.

At fault on the first goal, he never seemed in harmony with his teammates.

He lost the ball in his own area and was lucky that Poussin saved him by deflecting the strike from Kalimuendo (31st).

In the recovery, he had a lot of trouble, with for example a pass for… no one when he has several meters of freedom (49th).

Even at the end of the match, he was not reassuring and failed to score against his camp on a cross (85th).

The excitement of Bordeaux

The people of Bordeaux are in dire need of confidence.

New red lantern of the championship after the victory of Saint-Etienne, the Girondins sweat the feverishness in the game. The first Lensois goal is the fruit of misunderstandings in their own area.

The second also came after a mess when reviving.

More broadly, the Girondins seem to be struggling to free themselves from the challenge.

They are however capable of good things since they dominated the Lensois from the 30th to the 70th minute.

But, taken over by panic at the end of the match, they ensured less transmissions, lacked more controls and deprived themselves of opportunities.

Everything is not to be thrown away but this team will need to be strong in the head to maintain itself.

Lensois relaxation

After three defeats in a row, the Lensois are satisfied with this victory.

Yet after 30 minutes of high level content was not there.

The Artésiens let themselves be lulled by inferior Bordelais but who bravely played their luck with their means.

So much so that whistles came twice to remind the players that the supporters were making their comeback.

The latter had little taste of the many passes to Farinez at the start of the second period (59th) and the domination of Bordeaux, concluded with a strike from Oudin (66th).

The Lensois no longer have the slaughter that was their strength at the start of the season but can at least reassure themselves with three more points in the bag.
