After Bnei Herzliya has already secured its place in the cup final, Maccabi and Hapoel Tel Aviv will meet tonight (Monday) for the second semi-final.
Both teams have competed twice this season in the league, and in both cases Hapoel managed to come out with a narrow victory.
The two teams have met 27 times in the State Cup, with Maccabi Tel Aviv leading in meetings 3:24.
Hapoel's last victory came in the quarterfinals in 1988, and since then Maccabi has won ten consecutive meetings.
Derek Williams, James Nanley and Jaylen Reynolds were not registered with Yannis Sapropoulos' team for the game, and the doubles team hopes to achieve its first victory this season over its city rival, when the last time Maccabi Tel Aviv lost in the Cup semi-final was in 2007 against Bnei Hasharon.
On the other hand, James Young did not play against Be'er Sheva due to injury, and will take part in tonight's derby when he is not fully fit.
Hapoel Tel Aviv were furious before the game when they discovered that in contrast to the agreement between the teams, Maccabi Tel Aviv put thousands of flags into the hall area and not into the upper stands as agreed.
Hapoel insisted they would not go up to play until the injustice was rectified, and finally it was decided to remove the cheers that were within the crowd of the Yellows, and the Reds relented.
