The Black Bears perfected their first six-point weekend of the season, dramatically improving their relegation bracket prospects.

– The Freisinger Eishackler let it rip in the state league relegation round: On Sunday, the Black Bears scored their second win in a row at the Vilshofener Wolves with a 2-1 win.
The Domstädter also beat the second Wolves team after the VER Selb 1b at the weekend and improved to third place in the table.
With this six-point weekend - the first ever this season - the team of coach Nils Hanfstingl got a good starting position for the remaining four games in the fight against relegation.
SEF defenders frustrate Wolves forwards
From the point of view of the trainer, the six SEF defenders who did an extremely good job and thus caused frustration among the Wolves strikers were particularly noteworthy in the narrow success in Vilshofen.
In addition, the circumstances and the course of the game played into the hands of the guests.
In terms of personnel, the Wolves were missing an important man in Jan-Ferdinand Stern due to a suspension.
Contingent player Jan Bula played, but was still ailing due to an injury, so coach Matthias Zillinger had to lace up his skates himself.

And the Bears took the lead with one of the first chances of the game: Quirin Oexler started from his own third, tanked through the middle zone and shot just behind the blue line.
His long-range shot didn't seem unstoppable, but still hit the Vilshofen box (4th).
As a result, the guests went through the "defense first" route prescribed by the trainer with great concentration.
The ESC team did not manage to develop dominance, sometimes seemed overly committed, received four penalties in the first third and from then on quarreled with the referees.
The Domstädter didn't let the emotions get the better of them and went into the dressing room with the narrow lead.
Goalie Manuel Hanisch captures the victory
The second round was rather unspectacular and remained without goals.
In the final third, Freising immediately used a superior number to score the second goal: On the power play, the puck came to the backcourt to Anton Münzhuber, who netted a long-range shot to make it 2-0 (44th).
Now Vilshofen pressed and had chances, which were mostly safe prey for Freising keeper Manuel Hanisch.
Shortly before the end, the Bears made a mistake: After losing a disc while moving forward, Patrick Geiger made it 1:2 (58th).
Nico Wolfgramm's great chance to equalize destroyed SEF goalie Hanisch and thus secured the three points.
