PSG and Real Madrid meet today in the giant duel of the Champions League, last year's finalist Manchester City plays in Lisbon.

Paris/Lisbon - After a memorable draw, which even had to be repeated due to a breakdown, the pairings for the Champions League round of 16 were set.

Already in the first knockout round there is a top duel between the two title contenders Paris Saint-Germain* and Real Madrid, so one of the two top clubs will say goodbye to the competition early on.

The first leg will take place in Paris' Parc de Princes on Tuesday, while Manchester City will be visiting Sporting Lisbon.

In the duel between the star ensembles from France and Spain, big names will appear on both sides, such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at PSG.

However, ex-Madrileños captain Sergio Ramos is absent with a calf problem.

The German internationals Tilo Kehrer and Julian Draxler are also part of the Paris squad.

But there are also world stars at Real Madrid, such as Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Thibaut Courtois.

The former FC Bayern * defender David Alaba will probably be on the field as well as ex-national player Toni Kroos.

The task of the Blancos is clear, with a win or a draw you could create the best possible starting position for the second leg in Madrid.

The record winner, who has already won the handle pot 13 times, has high ambitions for the first leg at PSG.

Manchester City wants to reach the final again this year, but Sporting Lisbon* has to be eliminated for this.

The Portuguese champions also beat BVB in the group stage and qualified for the round of 16 in second place behind Ajax.

For Pep Guardiola's side, however, the match against the current Portuguese runners-up should not be too difficult given the quality of the squad.
