Too few players, too many mistakes: SC Riessersee has nothing to report to the leaders of the ice hockey Oberliga Süd and loses 0:4.
In addition, SCR coach Pat Cortina tested positive for Corona.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen –
Sure, SC Riessersee has not announced promotion for the current 2012/2022 season.
There are also easier tasks than driving over three hours on a Tuesday evening to the current industry leader in the ice hockey Oberliga Süd – to make matters worse, with a mini-squad and without coach Pat Cortina, who tested positive for Corona.
And the SCR did not invent power fluctuations either.
But still: The appearance of the white-blue at the Blue Devils Weiden once again brought the well-known and recurring problems to light.
The whole range of errors
The game was lost with 0:4.
Why?
Because the SCR constantly makes unnecessary mistakes.
The spectrum is wide: sometimes the disc is played directly onto the opponent's racquet, sometimes the Riesserseer let the puck be chased away with ease, sometimes they lose sight of the opponent, sometimes misunderstandings arise, sometimes they miss the basic order.
In summary: Weiden had no problems with the guests.
Only with goalie Daniel Allavena, who prevented an even higher defeat of the SCR.
Weiden is sufficient for average performance
Section one was still the best of the white-blue, at least the first ten minutes.
It started straight away with a post hit by the hosts and a penalty for Florian Vollmer, but the SCR presented itself safely outnumbered.
A little later, Moritz Israel scored the first chance in his own majority.
It was also the 26-year-old striker who deflected a shot from Simon Mayr to the post.
But that's it.
Weiden was satisfied with an average performance, which made coach Sebastian Buchwieser not very positive and prompted him to speak of "partially larifari" at the press conference.
But in view of the many mistakes made by the guests on defense and the meager creativity in attack, the Blue Devils could afford it.
All they had to do was accept the gifts.
SCR just too passive and unimaginative
Number one was presented to them in minute twelve.
Adam Schusser had plenty of time and space for his shot, which was deflected decisively by Chad Bassen.
Goal number two fell to Philipp Siller after a simple through pass.
SCR assistant coach Anton Raubal classified this scene as "deep sleep".
When they conceded the third goal, the guests lost sight of Dennis Thielsch, who was allowed to finish easily in the slot.
The SpradeTV commentators aptly classify the Riessersee defense as "pupil-like".
The fourth goal was then preceded by a classic: You take it, I've got it for sure.
But only Dominik Piskor had the puck safely and made the final score in the second third.
In the final section, the game just languished.
Grazing didn't want to go anymore, Riessersee couldn't anymore.
At least Allevana polished up his catch quota a bit.
The conclusion of Raubal: "We were just too passive over the entire season, Weiden was simply better and more active."
Staff situation no apologies
Looking at the season as a whole, it becomes obvious that development at the traditional club from Garmisch-Partenkirchen is stagnating.
This is of course partly due to the tense personnel situation, including various corona cases.
But that's no excuse for the recurring mistakes.
There is hope that the SCR has already proven that it can do better.
Like a week and a half ago in the home win against Weiden.
