A big surprise in Spain.
Atletico Madrid lost tonight (Wednesday) to the table lock for Bante 1: 0 at Wanda Metropolitano and missed an opportunity to rise back to fourth place.
Gonzalo Mellero was responsible for the only goal of the game in the 54th minute and the one that gave the 3 surprising points to the team that achieved its overall second victory this season in the league.

The Colchoneros came into tonight's game knowing that just one point is enough for them to return to fourth place, from which they went down after Barcelona's draw against Espanyol earlier this week, but the bunch in red and white came out empty handed in a game that must have been theirs.
Next Saturday Atletico will play an away game against Osasuna (17:15) knowing that they must collect points that will keep them strong in the picture of the first four in La Liga and give them a head start for the home game in the last 16 of the Champions League against Manchester United next Wednesday.
