Yarin Shrikki has won the IBJJF European Championship in Jiu-Jitsu.
Shrikki, who competes in adult purple belts weighing up to 70 kg, competed yesterday (Tuesday) in the European Championship of the IBJJF Association in Rome.
Shrikki competed in five fights when in the final he subdued his opponent by strangulation from the back and brought a gold medal and a lot of respect to the State of Israel.
Beyond that, this is the first time in history that an Israeli competitor wins gold in this difficult category.
The European Championship of the IBJJF Association is one of the most prestigious competitions in the jiu jitsu industry.
The competition is divided according to age and rank groups, as this is the first time that an Israeli athlete has won a gold medal in the category of adult purple belts.
