Three football maniacs at eye level: VfB trainer trio have big plans

Matthias Strohmaier, Alban Zinsou and Florian Brachtel want to take VfB Hallbergmoos to a new level.

But now it's all about staying up in the league.

– After the change of coach in autumn, VfB Hallbergmoos heralded a new era in terms of work philosophy.

With Matthias Strohmaier (27), Alban Zinsou (42) and Florian Brachtel (27), the club hired a whole team of coaches who already harmonize very well.

Three football enthusiasts on an equal footing want to secure the Bayernliga in the short term and take VfB to a new level in the medium term.

Alban Zinsou comes from Türkgücü Munich, where he was youth coordinator.

Before that, he was already active as a high-class coach in the youth sector in Forstenried, at FC Stern Munich and in Geretsried.

As with Türkgücü, he is happy with his place in the second row at VfB: “I like being in the background.

Because of the family, I didn't want to work as a head coach again."

"We deliberately took a lot of time to declare the tasks."

One thing is clear: if Strohmaier is back on the field himself at some point after his Achilles tendon tear, Zinsou should take command of the bench.

The 42-year-old should be a link between the first and second men's teams and the youth beyond the post of assistant coach.

"Hallbergmoos is a very interesting project."

Last but not least, Zinsou should help the club with his network: "I had nothing to do with the first team of Türkgücü, but of course I brought good players into the youth," reports the 42-year-old and indicates that there is also one or others might be of interest to the people of Hallbergmoos.

He brings his contacts with him - but newcomers are also decided in the team.

Florian Brachtel is responsible for the areas of fitness and game analysis.

Matthias Strohmaier and Florian Brachtel are not only the same age at 27, but also had something to do with each other from an early age in terms of football: When they were young, they were opponents in the Derby Bayern (Brachtel) against 1860 (Strohmaier), and then played together in the Bayern selection in to kick a team.

After his youth at FCB and then in Unterhaching, Brachtel made a professional attempt at Wacker Burghausen, but did not play in the 3rd division.

He then did his Abitur – and now he is on his last legs with his studies at the International Football Institute in Ismaning.

The sporting director of VfB, Anselm Küchle, was one of his lecturers there.

Professionally, Brachtel keeps open whether he wants to go in the direction of a trainer or sports management.

Florian Brachtel will even take on three functions

VfB Hallbergmoos has offered him a sporting home for three years - and this is where Brachtel is gaining experience in both areas: as an assistant coach for the first team, as a junior coach and as a youth sports director, he currently has three positions.

He was also the promotion coach, under which the U15 climbed to the district league.

Brachtel is also full of praise for the trio that has grown together: "We are three people who are all really into each other." A big advantage of the coaching team is that everyone looks after their specific areas: At Brachtel, this is fitness work and game analysis.

He edited videos from the friendlies, which the team uses to see where there is room for improvement.

This week he presents the table leaders SpVgg Hankofen-Hailing, who are guests on Saturday for the Bayernliga restart in Hallbergmoos, in moving pictures.

VfB Hallbergmoos significantly further than other Bavarian league teams

In terms of game analysis and modern game preparation, VfB Hallbergmoos is significantly further than some other Bavarian league teams.

As a team, those responsible want to establish the club in the long term in upscale amateur football.

From Saturday it's all about points for staying up in the league: VfB spent the winter in relegation place 17.
