Penalized ski crosser Smith to appeal medal decision

“We are currently examining all possibilities with Swiss-Ski to contest the decision”.
The penalty against Smith had already caused irritation among the athletes immediately after the race, even profiteer Maier described Smith's action as "completely normal ski cross".
