The second day of the Tel Aviv Grand Slam in judo kicked off this morning (Friday) at the Kvutzat Shlomo Hall in Tel Aviv, with former world champion Sagi Muki in the spotlight.
Muki, a bronze medalist from the Tokyo Olympics in the team competition, competing in the weight category up to 81 kg, will open against Shodmon Rizoub from Tajikistan, last year's Asian Youth Champion, for whom it is a first international competition at this level.

One of the most fascinating and dense weights is 63 kg, where perhaps later in the campaign a triple battle for the Olympic ticket to Paris 2024 is expected, between Gili Sharir who represented Israel in Tokyo, Inbal Shemesh and the young Kerem Primo who recently gained weight.
As mentioned, on the opening day, Israel achieved two medals, when Baruch Shmailov (66 kg) went up to receive the gold medal and Timna Nelson Levy achieved the bronze weighing up to 57 kg, while Shira Rishoni (48 kg) and Geffen Primo (52 Kg) were ranked fifth.
