This is how you start a year.

The Paralympic Taekwondo fighter, Assaf Yasur, the reigning world champion, today (Saturday) won a bronze medal in the bronze medal in the World Cup round in Albania, weighing up to 58 kg.

The Israeli qualified for the semifinals and lost in a close match to the Turk Ali Ozkan, whom he defeated last December in the World Championship final.

Yasur, who secured a first medal in 2022 after defeating Turkish Mikhail Akai (bronze medalist at the last European Championships up to 63 kg) 8:38 in the quarterfinals earlier, thanks to his victory, Yasur promised to win a medal in the competition.

He demonstrated a clear superiority over his opponent, who won a bronze medal at the European Championships up to 63 kg in September, when the Israeli will want to continue his great ability and eventually reach the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024 for the first time in his career.
