Despite the "inappropriate, disgusting and degrading behavior" of the yellow fans, the Supreme Court of the Football Association ruled that the team could not be punished in terms of regulations

The Supreme Court of the Football Association today (Monday) rejected the appeal following the homophobic calls from Maccabi Tel Aviv fans towards Maccabi Netanya goalkeeper Danny Amos in a game between the two teams last month at Bloomfield Stadium.

The three-judge panel ruled that the Yellows could not be punished for misconduct by the crowd mainly because of a disciplinary offense not enshrined in the Football Association's bylaws.

Retired judge Amnon Strashnov, the tribunal's father, stated in the ruling: "In the absence of a disciplinary offense and in the absence of a provision enacted in the association's bylaws, it does not touch."

"Remember, the Football Association's prosecutor, Adv. Nir Reshef, appealed the decision not to punish the yellow team, but today the appeal was rejected and it was ruled again that these calls can not be defined by regulations under the section of inappropriate behavior of the fans."
