Ex-FCB star wants to get out of the desert

He once laced his shoes at FC Bayern, but now he earns his living in the desert.

But apparently not for long, he is aiming for a change.

Munich – It was probably not the greatest heyday of his career that James Rodriguez had at Bayern*.

Nevertheless, the little technician was popular with FCB fans.

Under the then coach Niko Kovac, the Colombian never found his gala form from the 2014 World Cup. Even a return to Real Madrid did not give the fine left foot the hoped-for career boost.

So we went on to the island, to Everton FC and Carlo Ancelotti.

James shone there again before Ancelotti took over as Los Blancos again and Rafa Benitez became the Toffees' new coach.

The Spaniard didn't rely on James, so he went into the desert.

James has been kicking in hangovers for Al Rayyan for five months now.

There he experienced one or the other shock moment.

In terms of sport, it's also rather mau.

Although he is not completely dissatisfied at the moment, he does not want to play in the desert forever.

“How long in Qatar?

I don't know, you don't know what's going to happen," James is said to have said to the

gaming portal

: "But I'd like to go somewhere else.

We didn't get good results in the league, but things are going well in the cup and the goal is to win it.

After all, I'm playing, I'm in a good mood."

Al Rayyan put a whopping eight million on the table for James, where he still has a contract until 2024.

He would have liked to have stayed longer in England.

“I would have liked to have stayed at Everton much longer.

It's a spectacular club, the fans are amazing," said the 30-year-old.

Where exactly is James going?

Europe and the US are obviously options.

“I would like to return to Europe, why not.

I have what it takes, I'll get into a rhythm and I'll wait and see what happens,” said the top scorer at the 2014 World Cup: “Another good option is to go to the USA.

I like that very much, but there is still time for that.”

James played for FC Bayern from 2017 to 2019.

He managed 15 goals and 20 assists in 67 games.

In total, he completed 2762 minutes in the Bundesliga in an FCB jersey.
