At the end of March, the reigning world champions will meet for two friendly matches against Côte d'Ivoire and South Africa. A month before this gathering, several internationals are already uncertain.

The Blues of Didier Deschamps have not met since last November.

A crushing victory against Kazakhstan 8-0 on November 13, before a 2-0 success in Finland three days later.

The French team will meet at the end of March as usual, for two friendly matches this time: against Côte d'Ivoire in Marseille on the 25th and against South Africa in Lille on the 29th.

Didier Deschamps should therefore announce his list on Thursday March 17.

Four weeks before the next gathering in Clairefontaine, many players are already out of the game or uncertain.

The uncertain players

Corentin Tolisso

was injured in the 25th minute of play against Greuther Fürth this Sunday in the Bundesliga.

The Bayern midfielder is suffering

from "a torn hamstring

" informs the club.

We were afraid it was something more serious, but luckily it was just a torn muscle fiber,

” says Julian Nagelsmann.

The duration of unavailability has not been specified by the Bavarian club but the player should be absent for several weeks.

The season is difficult for

Kingsley Coman

, who has a string of physical glitches.

Embarrassed in the heart in September, the French winger experienced muscle problems in November and January.

This weekend, he was forfeited at the last minute, again due to "

muscular problems

" specifies the club.

The Frenchman who had chained three consecutive starts in the league could be unavailable for a few weeks.

Also out injured during this meeting,

Lucas Hernandez

should return to him in a few days.

Like Corentin Tolisso,

Anthony Martial

also came out injured this weekend in the league.

The striker suffers from a muscle tear in the hamstrings.

“

Anthony stopped running and it would be a tear as the first exams suggest,

” said Julen Lopetegui at a press conference.

An embarrassment that should keep the French off the field for a few days

at least.

Players in bad shape or lacking rhythm

Antoine Griezmann

is gradually coming back.

Absent from the field since mid-December for a thigh problem, the Frenchman has not played for more than two months.

The striker made his return to collective training with Atletico this week.

On the bench against Osasuna this weekend, the number 8 of Colchoneros did not come into play. "Grizi" should return to the field this Wednesday in the Champions League, against Manchester United.

Injured for a month in early February,

Clément Lenglet

should return in the coming days.

This Monday, the central defender resumed collective training with Barça.

He could take advantage of the many absences and mishaps in the central defense of the Blaugranas to find playing time before the rally of the Blues.

Dayot Upamecano

is not injured but has had a difficult time at Bayern in recent weeks.

The Munich defender chained two matches in a row on the bench, before finding a starting place on February 12.

Guilty of several goals in the 4-2 defeat against Bochum, Dayot Upamecano was replaced at half-time by Julian Nagelsmann.

A few days later, the defender was again on the bench against Salzburg in the Champions League.

The former RB Leipzig player played the entire match against Greuther Fürth, bottom of the championship, this weekend.

The next few weeks can be crucial.

Another French central defender who has been struggling lately is

Jules Koundé

.

In January, the former Bordelais had only one start in four league games, against Getafe, before leaving at halftime.

Returning to better form in February, the defender was sent off this weekend against Espanyol Barcelona after two yellow cards in seven minutes.

This is already the second red in a few months (the first on December 21 against Barça) for Seville.

Jules Koundé will be absent in the derby against Betis on February 27.
