The wounded Syrian national team player Khalil Mahmoud won the gold medal in the throwing competition at the West Asian Paralympic Games currently being held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The injured team players Firas Shiha, the wounded Amer Sammour and the wounded Issa Hassan won in the first round of the badminton competition.
It is noteworthy that 700 male and female players with special needs represent 12 teams competing in seven sports in this tournament.
The Jarih Watan project is participating with a delegation for the first time with the Syrian national team for special sports in the West Asian Paralympic Championship, which will be held in the State of Bahrain during the period from February 18 to 27.
In the physical strength game, the injured Manhal Zarouf and Abd al-Rahman Hamroush, Azzam Ahmed and Khalil Mahmoud in athletics, javelin throwing and volleyball, Firas Shiha, Issa Hassan and Amer Sammour, are represented in badminton.
