Batina Tamalkova, the partner of the Israeli judoka and born in Bulgaria, attacked the decision to appoint Alan Schmitt, who was a candidate for coach in Israel, as coach of the women's and men's team in her homeland: "If you have the necessary connections, everything is allowed and forgiven."

The announcement by the Bulgarian Judo Association that coach Alan Schmitt, who is suspected of attacking his judicial partner Margo Pino, appointed head coach of the country's women's and men's teams, caused a great stir when reactions on social media were mostly decisive against the move.

As you may recall, Schmitt was supposed to join and work for Israel's women's team, under Shani Hershko, but after being arrested and questioned, his employment fell through, but he seems to have quickly found a new job, despite all the criticism surrounding him.

The one who came out against the move is the judoka Batina Tamalkova, a native of Bulgaria, the wife of the Olympic judoka Baruch Shmailov, who reached dozens of international achievements in Bulgaria uniform, including the 2014 Olympic runner-up, who did not remain indifferent and posted an angry post on Facebook.

"I want to express all my disappointment with the Bulgarian Judo Association and the people who support Alan Schmitt," Temelkova wrote.

"With this decision, you have shamed the whole of Bulgaria on a world level. For me as a woman, it is terribly insulting to see such tolerance by the Bulgarian Judo Association towards the act of domestic violence."

"By giving him this honorable role, a role that must set an example for the younger generation, the Bulgarian Judo Association not only does not set a good example for young athletes, but also makes it clear that if you have the necessary connections, everything is allowed and forgiven."

"I am part of the 'judo family' in Bulgaria and Israel and I want to express my personal position on this important case. I am totally against the decision to let Alan Schmitt hold such an important and respectful position. It must be held by a person with a high moral value system who is An idol and a model for all. "

Tamalkova added: "All women's rights have been violated! I am a Bulgarian and I live in Israel with my husband Baruch Shmailov, an international Jew from Israel. "It's because my country not only did not take a firm stand on what happened, but also with all their impudence they hired this person for the most important role for the sport in our country."
