The Israeli team held today (Thursday) the concluding training ahead of the important game against Germany in the 2023 World Cup qualifiers (Friday, 14:30).
Coach Guy Goodes said: "It always feels good to start a game window. The guys are very focused and want to win. We have a goal to get to the World Cup and it's not easy. We started on the right foot and we want to keep it going."
"We've seen the Germans in the last two games, so we know them," the coach referred to the opponent.
"Strong on offensive rebound, and aggressive and very tough game. I hope we open the game better than against the Poles. In the previous window we showed defensive toughness and if we bring it tomorrow I believe we can win the game."
The full squad for the game: Gal Makal, Yam Madar, Max Heidegger, Bar Timor, Rafi Manko, Sean Dawson, Guy Pnini, Nimrod Levy, Tomer Ginat, Gabi Chachashvili, Jake Cohen, Idan Zalmanson.
After the concluding training session, Goodes informed Adam Ariel and Netanel Artzi that they would not be registered.
