Julian Nagelsmann has to do without Thomas Müller against Frankfurt.

The coach gives the substitute a starting eleven guarantee.

Munich – FC Bayern* meets his feared opponent in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The series champion has to go to Frankfurt for Eintracht - there were two bankruptcies there recently, so the last duel in Munich was also lost.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann* still has a few failures in the squad, but there are positive trends.

Jamal Musiala* can look forward to a birthday present from coach Nagelsmann.

The youngster turns 19 on Saturday and is expected to be in the starting XI.

Last weekend he was rested after his corona infection and sat on the bench.

Now Musiala is supposed to replace Bayern leader Thomas Müller* directly – the original Bavarian has been hit by Corona for the second time, but according to Nagelsmann he feels “quite well.”

"He's the number one candidate for the position to replace Thomas," Nagelsmann said on Friday's matchday PK.

"He trained extremely well yesterday," praised Bayern coach Musiala.

“Very committed, very fresh, very lively, tactically good.

I really liked it.” Musiala's only remaining doubts are how long he can hold out after the illness.

"He will certainly reach the point - if he plays from the start - where he is a bit tired," Nagelsmann believes.

"But he can also go over it to a certain extent."

Kingsley Coman* is just as fit again after muscular problems.

Two days ago, the Frenchman's condition was very good, but "not top top", explained Nagelsmann with a grin on Friday.

"Now he's top top, he said." And compatriot Lucas Hernandez* has also reported that he is fit for action.

The defender had to be substituted against Fürth with calf problems.

The sorely missed trio of Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies and Leon Goretzka could return in the foreseeable future.

Captain Neuer continues to make progress after his knee surgery.

The reaction of the operated joint after the training is "absolutely manageable", "I'm in very good spirits," says Nagelsmann.

Davies still has to wait for an examination after the myocarditis.

There is also good news for problem child Leon Goretzka, who has been out since December with patella tendon problems.

"I still can't give a prognosis, and I don't want to either.

Not deliberately so as not to put Leon under pressure,” Nagelsmann explained, but he was still in a positive mood.

"He has significantly higher frequencies on the training ground" and "moves much faster," says Nagelsmann.

"For the first time in a long time, I'm especially happy for him that there are steps in the right direction."
