The Syrian national basketball team lost to its Iranian counterpart 80-68 points in the second window of the World Cup qualifiers, in the match that brought them together today in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
The Syrian team advanced in the first quarter by 18-15 points, while the other three quarters came in favor of the Iranian team by 24-18 points, 20-19 points, and 21-13 points.
Our team defeated its Bahraini counterpart 80-64 points in the second window in the match that brought them together last Thursday in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
It is noteworthy that the Syrian team lost to its Kazakh counterpart in the first leg of the first window of the qualifiers, with a score of 74-84 points, during their meeting in the Kazakh capital, Nur Sultan, and also lost in the return match within the same window, which brought them together in Al-Fayha Sports City in Damascus, with a score of 71-81 points.
