Israel Olympic Committee: Bruria Bigman Retires Israel today

Bruria Bigman, spokeswoman for the Olympic Committee in Israel and director of marketing and sponsorship recruitment, will finish her work and retire at the end of March, after 13 years and 3 Olympic cycles.

This was announced today (Monday) by the Director General of the Israel Olympic Committee, Gili Lustig. 

During the Olympic Games in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021, Bigman managed the communication committee of the Olympic Committee in Israel in front of the written and electronic media, with a team specializing in social channels, and established direct contact with followers on all social platforms: Facebook, Instagram and tic-tac-toe.

Bruria Bigman, a former Israeli handball team player, physical education teacher and handball coach with 15 years of experience as a journalist in the Maariv sports section, joined the Israel Olympic Committee in 2009, with the goal of leading the organization's spokesperson and public relations system alongside establishing sponsorship.

Bruria Bigman has been responsible, among other things, in recent years for formulating the commercial sponsorship strategy of the Israel Olympic Committee and has been involved in some of the important connections to leading companies in the economy, including Bank Hapoalim, Herbalife, Shufersal, Swiss System, Samsung, Delek Group and many others.

In the last decade, Bigman has led the organization to be present on the digital social content platforms and built the organization's Facebook and Instagram pages as a leading source of knowledge and content for the large fan base that follows the Olympic sports in Israel.

Since 2013, Bigman has also been involved in recruiting personal sponsorships for Olympic athletes with great success, in accordance with the policy established by the management of the Olympic Committee in Israel.
