First behind, but then victorious: The Bavarian League derby against TSV Peißenberg went well from the point of view of EA Schongau.

Schongau – A decision has been made in the Bayernliga promotion round.

Due to the 6:2 home win in the derby against the "Peißenberg Miners", the EA Schongau can no longer be denied the unofficial title of the "best district team" by human standards.

With five open games in the promotion round, the Mammuts are now eleven points ahead of their neighbors, who are still pointless at the bottom of the table.

"We're happy with the win, now we still have a chance of fourth place," said EAS assistant coach Helmut Maucher after the game was over.

Fourth place is equivalent to participation in the play-offs.

"In the first third we made life difficult for ourselves because we missed a lot of chances.

The second was solid and in the third we sunk our chances,” Maucher summarized the game from Schongau's point of view.

The Miners, on the other hand, were sad: "You can lose in Schongau - the only question is how," said coach Sepp Staltmayr, disappointed after his team's poor performance.

"The body language was missing, Schongau deserved to win," was Staltmayr's verdict.

Bayernliga derby in front of around 600 spectators

The "Miners" were able to thank goalie Korbinian Sertl in the first few minutes for not being behind immediately.

The "mammoths" started extremely powerful and literally besieged the Peißenberger box, but without accommodating the disc there.

The guests were more effective, converting the first reasonably dangerous action into a goal: EAS keeper Daniel Blankenburg repelled a shot by Martin Lidl from the blue line, but he was powerless against Niko Fissekis (3rd). .

A little later, Sertl defused a solo effort by Jason Lavallee (5th).

A deflected long-range shot from Milos Vavrusa (6th) found its way into the net to make it 1-1.

Immediately afterwards, Dominik Pawliczek (7th) missed the new "Miners" lead in a solo.

Then it was back and forth in front of the stately crowd of 600 fans.

Willi Knebel (14th) missed the home side's best opportunity to score the second goal.

EAS double strike to 4: 2 leaves an effect on "Miners".

In the second third, the Peissenbergers were clearly more dangerous than the "mammoths".

After another opportunity for Pawliczek (25th), the Schongau team increasingly took control.

When Marius Klein was hindered by a break chance, the team of well-directed referees decided on a penalty.

Klein, who later had to leave the ice with a back injury, duped Sertl and put the puck into the goal to make it 2-1 (29 th ).

The joy of the EAS attachment was short-lived, however, as Pawliczek used the home team's loss of a disc to counterattack and make it 2-2 (32nd).

But the "mammoths" were not deterred by this.

Roman Tomanek (35th) converted the second penalty time against the “Miners” because of six men on the ice to make it 3:2.

Less than three minutes later, Kevin Steiner (38.),

The two goals made an impact on the Peißenbergers.

As a result, the guests acted increasingly erratic and unimaginative.

The Schongauers, on the other hand, were more calm: Lavallee (42nd) increased to 5:2 right at the beginning of the final round.

Philipp Keil (47th) narrowly missed the sixth goal in the power play.

That worried Florian Höfler (47'), who coldly punished a mistake by Fissekis with the 6:2, which also ended his goal drought.

The game was over prematurely.

In the final phase, the "Miners" could hardly put any real pressure on the EAS box.
