Taufkirchen's handball men go back to district class after the 25:30 defeat against Pfarrkirchen

Taufkirchen – For the handball players of TSV Taufkirchen, the season in the Ost district league came to an early and bitter end.

After a 25:30 (13:16) defeat against TuS Pfarrkirchen, the men from the Vils finished the single round with 4:10 points in seventh place and thus penultimate and have to be relegated after just one year.

After SpVgg Altenerding 2, another men's team from the district has to start at the bottom again.

"It's tough for us," says TSV trainer Andreas Haberzettl, regretting the unfortunate return to the district class.

Because after there had been ambiguities internally in the Taufkirchen camp about the implementation of the rules of the game (we reported), the association (BHV) has now already put the arrows for relegation and playoffs next to the teams.

"It's a pity that the BHV is going through the season with a single round.

We could certainly have done a lot in the second half of the season," said Haberzettl.

“But in the end all that whining about this wheel of fortune doesn't help us.

We can no longer change it.”

Above all, the Taufkirchen coach had the good impression in the back of his mind that his men had made in the final duel against the promotion aspirants from Pfarrkirchen.

"In terms of fighting, it was a very good performance," praised Haberzettl.

"We were level with the favorites for a long time and only lost by a five-goal difference."

However, the decisive scene was the double shock before the break when, at 10:13, Dion Heydemann first reached out too hard “in overzealousness” and saw the red card (26th), and then Andi Rej injured his knee and had to hold out .

The TSV backcourt, which also lacked Tobias Huber injured, was too weak to continue to hold against it.

"That ultimately put us in brutal distress," explains Haberzettl.

"We never gave up, but unfortunately conceded too many easy counterattacks.

Pfarrkirchen switched very quickly when he won the ball and combined well.” TuS pulled away and made everything clear at 22:16 (39th).

Taufkirchen could no longer shorten decisively.

"It's a shame, there could have been more.

In the end we tripped ourselves up”, Andreas Haberzettl knew after the 25:30 bankruptcy.

At the same time, the TSV coach raised his head again: "Then we'll get up again next season."

Goals for Taufkirchen:

Thomas Anhoffer 10/4, Dion Heydemann 5, Christoph Huber 4, Pascal Demny 2, Patrick Mühlenbeck, Maximilian Josef, Andreas Rej, Julian Mühlenbeck.
