Soccer A-Classist SG Eichenfeld Freising is counting on a new coach and a playing assistant coach in the coming season.

Both are old friends.

Freising

– The footballers of SG Eichenfeld Freising set the course for the future early on: For the coming season, the A-class club was able to win an experienced man as coach in Ludger Reuter (56).

He has already celebrated some successes as a coach in the youth sector at the SBU - especially the victories in the Sparkasse Cup with the B and A youth were remembered.

Reuter is currently in charge of the third team and should ensure the transition from the youth to the men's area.

Eichenfeld's department manager Gerhard Wimmer justified the early announcement by saying that they wanted to create clarity for the footballers.

Potential signings should also know who would coach them next season.

However, Wimmer makes it clear: "This does not mean that we are dissatisfied with Markus Ujwari." The current player-coach of the "First" is happy that soon he will no longer be solely responsible for tactics.

The 27-year-old will support Reuter in the new round as a playing assistant coach and will thus continue to be able to contribute his ideas.

SG Eichenfeld still needs points to stay up

In the current season one definitely had one of the top places in mind, says Wimmer.

So far, however, only eighth place has come out, the distance to the danger zone is not exactly ample.

"Of course it's been very sobering for us so far," admits the head of department.

"We had imagined a lot more." It was clear that, given a small change in personnel, it would not work out immediately with the promotion again: "But we wanted to attack a little further up the field." In the second half of the season, it is now important to to get the points for staying up as quickly as possible and to rehabilitate for clapping like in Hettenshausen (0:8).

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

With Ludger Reuter as the new man on the bench, things should go much better in the coming season from the start.

A return to the district class is not an immediate must for him, emphasizes Wimmer.

"For the next three years, however, it is already planned that we will come up again."

"That was our great weakness in recent years."

According to Wimmer, it is particularly important that SG Eichenfeld does not lose the strong youth players to other clubs when they make the leap to the adult sector: "That was our great weakness in recent years." Reuter, with his calm nature, is exactly the right man: "He has understanding for the youth, can develop the youngsters well.” In order for the transition to work out, there should be a second and third team in the coming rounds, these are currently in the C class.

According to Wimmer, the 56-year-old is also good for the club's external image: "Due to a previous coach, we unfortunately got a negative image.

We want to take that off.”
