DFB Cup: quarterfinals in the live ticker: Leipzig trouble because of the Ukraine war
At the first kick-off time at 6.30 p.m., three teams from the 2nd Bundesliga are playing.
Hamburger SV host Karlsruher SC in the round of eight and Hannover 96 meet Bundesliga club and last year's finalist RB Leipzig.
HSV is fighting in the lower house for a return to the Bundesliga, but suffered a serious setback last weekend with the 2:3 home defeat against Werder Bremen.
Fourth in the table, the Rothosen are three points behind the promotion places.
RB Leipzig has to be the top favorite in Hanover.
The Saxons are directly affected by the Ukraine conflict.
The opponent in the Europa League Spartak Moscow was excluded from the competition, so Leipzig is without a fight in the quarterfinals.
The club had come under criticism after RB had previously failed to publicly advocate a boycott of the games against Moscow.
RB boss Oliver Mintzlaff reacted with tears at the press conference before the game in Hanover.
"And then, of course, when you read so much shit, sometimes it's like, 'How sick is that?'" Mintzlaff said.
