The skier, who will become the first Israeli to ever represent Israel at the Games, will have to miss the event • Who will fill her place: Former Paralympic swimmer Inbal Pizarro

Paralympic skier Sheina and Sefi, who will become the first athlete ever to take part in the Paralympic Games next week, will have to give up the opening ceremony tomorrow (Friday) in Beijing, due to Sabbath observance.

The person who will represent Israel and enter the gates of the "Bird's Nest" stadium with the national flag is the former Paralympic swimmer Inbal Pizarro, who gives her mental and professional guidance and accompanies her even these days when she will make history.

And Sefi, who grew up in Yesod HaMaala, had a serious car accident when she was 3.5 years old and as a result lost her leg, and after rehabilitation, a relative introduced her to the Erez Association which helps children and youth with disabilities and they are the ones who introduced her to the ski world.

In recent years, the industry has become an animal center, starting to reach the highest levels and competing with a skirt because of her faith, and in a month and a half, she will also be on track for the Paralympic Winter Olympics and will be the first ever to do so.

And the 20-year-old Sefi will only start her participation next Friday, in the giant slalom competition, when two days later, she will also take part in the slalom competition.
