The Euroleague management today (Thursday) set March 21 as the deadline for the Russian teams after which they will be removed until the end of the season.
As you may recall, following the war in Ukraine, the Euroleague announced the suspension of Russian teams and the continued continuation of league activities without them.
It has now been decided that if in less than three weeks they will not be able to return to play, they will be sent off until the end of the season.
The Euroleague is still debating how to proceed with the results achieved by the Russian teams since the start of the season.
One option that has come up is not to consider at all the results achieved in their games, but this situation may cause injustice to the teams that have won them.
Maccabi Tel Aviv, which lost three of its four games this season against the Russians, should enjoy this and move up to the top eight.
