Sixers fans have reasons to smile, and also to dream.
James Harden made his home debut as a Philadelphia player tonight (Wednesday through Thursday), and along with the season-leading MVP nominee, Joel Ambide, led the team to a 16-point deficit and a 108: 123 win over the New York Knicks , With the two scoring 53 points in total.
Harden averaged more than 25 points and over 10 assists in his first three Sixers games, and in Brooklyn he also recorded such numbers in his first three games, with the previous player doing so on a new team being Alan Iverson in Denver in 2006.

Ambide waited years for an offensive partner with Harden-like abilities, and in the first three games together, the pick-and-roll game between the two looked like a deadly weapon for the Sixers.
The chin finished the night with 27 points and 12 rebounds, and at the end one of the reporters compared him and the bearded man to Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant: "I'm Joel Ambide. I don't play the way Shaq played, I'm dominant in other ways," the Cameroonian replied.
"I'm not physically dominant as he was. He was a monster piece, one of the best ever probably. I control the pitch in other ways and do everything. James does the same in the sense that he is both a scorer and a playmaker."
Asked if he is the club's cultural icon, Ambide recalled the famous incident with professional manager Brian Colangelo in 2018, and replied: "I went through a lot. Even a general manager who used fictitious profiles to get dirty on his players."
They are already being compared to Shaq and Kobe.
