The balance of the Walpertskirchen footballers: A friendly win, tired bones and new technology for the club home

Walpertskirchen – In the SV Walpertskirchen clubhouse there is now a Playstation 5 with the Fifa 22 game and a new flat screen.

These are the trophies that the district league team brought back from the Audi Schanzer Cup in Ingolstadt.

As reported, Walpertskirchen qualified for the final tournament in the Audipark the previous weekend.

The team bus took them to Ingolstadt, where the team was able to watch the second division game between FCI and FC St. Pauli.

Then we went onto the pitch ourselves – and at first very successfully.

With a 2-0 win over DJK Ingolstadt, the team promptly qualified for the grand final.

Benedikt Schuler and Christian Käser scored.

FC Hohenwarth, who had 19 players in the squad, were waiting in the final.

The WSV, on the other hand, was only there with 13 field players due to injuries, work and the pandemic.

In addition, the footballers still had the spinning session on Monday, the test against the state league team FC Schwaig (1: 1) and another training session in their bones.

"But the team did a good job and sold dearly," praised coach Sepp Heilmeier.

The team lost 1:3, missed a penalty, Käser had made it 1:2 in the meantime (42nd).

Despite the defeat, "it was a great thing and it helped us as a team," sums up the coach.

The test match in Parsdorf was contested.

The next day he was back on the field with his troops.

"I didn't want to cancel the game against FC Parsdorf at short notice.

I know how annoying that is for the opponent," says the coach.

So he came with a mixture of players who were unable to play on Saturday, people from the second division and some Ingolstadt heroes "whom we only used very sparingly".

Nevertheless, Walpertskirchen won 3:2.

"We came along on the gums, but the team really surprised me again.

As fourth in the district class, Parsdorf is not a passing customer.” Maximilian Büchlmann and Thomas Angermaier gave the WSV a 2-0 lead.

A lack of concentration resulted in two goals being conceded.

Käser got a few more minutes of play in the final minutes.

He promptly scored the winning goal.

This week things are a little more leisurely at SVW.

Coach Heilmeier even canceled a training session.
