Russia does not intend to stop there.
Excluded from the World Cup play-offs in Qatar by Fifa after the invasion of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin's army, the Russian Federation will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to be reinstated.
As a reminder, Russia, second in their group, were to face Poland at the end of March in the semi-final of the play-offs, before facing in the event of victory the winner of the Czech Republic - Sweden with, at stake, a ticket for Qatar.
