Legendary gymnast Alina Kabayeva, better known today as Vladimir Putin's "secret" partner than in her glorious career, is launching a frontal attack.
In focus: Russia's exclusion from more and more sports competitions.
Kabayeva said angrily yesterday: "I think we are witnessing the most shameful chapter in the history of world sports. For many years, unions and associations have treated Russia unsportsmanlike, but today everything is already visible. With hundreds of thousands of civilians dead in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya and Syria, officials "But when Russia defends Donbas and Lugansk from the Nazis, they suddenly wake up."
Kabayeva, who grew up as a Muslim and converted to Christianity about 20 years ago, added: "You work hard to humiliate Russian athletes, to harm our national symbols, flag and anthem and we still win. We have proven time and time again that we succeed because of our athletes' level, not drugs and illicit substances. "Your drug is hypocrisy. If there were hypocrisy tests like tests for banned substances, you would all be suspended from running the sport."

The 38-year-old Kabayeva, who is 31 years younger than Putin, won a gold medal in a major event in figure skating at the 2004 Athens Olympics and a variety of medals at the World and European Championships.
She received the Medal of Excellence for the Homeland of Russia and at the end of her career she even participated in the Holon Grand Prix.
After her retirement, Kabayeva cracked a political career and in April 2008 it was reported in one of the Russian media that Vladimir Putin had secretly divorced his wife and married her (the Russian president publicly announced his divorce from his first wife only in 2013).
In recent years it has been reported that Putin and Kabayeva had three children, but no official confirmation has been given.
