The ice pirates from ESC Dorfen had given their all, but ripped off and clever, the Erding Gladiators also took home their third derby win of the season on Friday evening with 7:5 (1:2, 2:1, 4:2) goals.

Dorfen/Erding – A full Dr. Rudolf Stadium and two teams that had recently played very convincingly: Everything was set up for a district derby that once again had everything to offer that belongs to an exciting ice hockey game.

And at the opening bully, there were still a few people queuing at the tills.

After ESC goalkeeper Luca Endres had won against Michael Trox, he was outnumbered a little later and faced a state of siege.

Daniel Krzizok used the numerical advantage to make it 1-0 to Erding early on.

Gaspr Susanj tested Christoph Schedlbauer in the TSV goal, but Erding initially had more of the game.

Also because the next penalty time again affected a Dorfener.

The ice pirates survived, and from the halfway point of this first period of the game, Dorfen became stronger and stronger.

Tomas Vrba,

Sandro Schroepfer and Christian Göttlicher demanded everything from Schedlbauer.

Then defender Susanj marched through, first missed, but chased the gang rebound into the mesh to make it 1-1.

At Erding's first penalty, Dominik Wagner was exactly 13 seconds out, so Vrba refined a very strong power play to lead 2:1.

It was well deserved at the break.

Urban Sodja even had the chance to make it 3:1 when the number was broken.

Back from the dressing room, both sides increased the number of strokes again.

The ice pirates countered the more experienced and playful gladiators with incredible fighting spirit, venom and great counterplay.

And they also benefited from three suspensions on the Erdinger side.

Sodja, Fischer, Dietrich and Göttlicher also had top-class chances to score, but either missed or Schedlbauer was the last stop.

Krzizok demonstrated how it's done at 2:2 when he was there after a Zimmermann solo was blocked.

Even a very strong Schedlbauer has mishaps.

When he couldn't get the puck under control behind his goal, Josef Folger turned on the quickest and Philipp Schuhmann holed in to make it 3:2.

But the "Schedl" could not be overcome a little later in the melee of Sodja and Kirsch.

Sebastian Busch slyly lurked at the Dorfen blue line and pulled away to make it 3:3.

43 seconds had been completed in the final round when Trox lost out against Endres on his own.

With the 4:3 by Vrba, the ESC seemed to be back on track.

Within three minutes, the hardened guests then turned the game.

Mark Waldhausen scored two goals and Krzizok in between.

The ice pirates didn't admit defeat yet, and with a majority, Simon Franz scored the goal.

With the third Krzizok hit, however, the fair for Erding was read.

Boiling emotions and pack formations were the background music to the final siren.
