A day after Israel's women's team secured their participation in the European Dormitory Championship, the blue and whites finished today (Sunday) the qualifying round with another victory, this time 6:19 over host Malta, and finished in first place at home.
For the players of Dimitris from Brutas it was a third consecutive victory in the qualifiers, after 5:15 over Portugal on Friday and the big 10:13 over France yesterday, which secured promotion to the final tournament for the third time in a row.
The team coach from Brutas: "We were the better team in the pool. The mission is complete, this is a historic moment that two Israeli teams, men and women, will be at the European Championships in Split. I am very proud."
