No dispute possible.
Fabio Jakobsen won the second stage of Paris-Nice in a sprint, covered over 159.5km between Auffargis (Yvelines) and Orléans (Loiret).
Perfectly led by his team, the Dutchman then only had to overtake the yellow jersey Christophe Laporte in order to win.
This is the first stage victory over Paris-Nice for the former Dutch champion (2019).

This stage in which Sonny Colbrelli, the European champion, weakened by bronchitis, did not take part, was marked by a large number of curbs.
Led by the Jumbo-Visma more than sixty kilometers from the finish, they made it possible to trap the double title holder of the event Maximilian Schachmann (Bora-Hangsrohe), or the Frenchman Guillaume Martin (Cofidis).
On arrival the two men lost more than a minute and a half.
Many riders also fell during this stage, such as Steven Kruijswijk, Matteo Trentin and David Gaudu.

14 kilometers from the finish, the Swiss Stefan Bisseger tried to get out of the peloton.
Taken back, he then planted a new banderilla, seven kilometers from the line.
A daring offensive but which narrowly failed.
The sprinters then explained themselves, and Fabio Jakobsen won.
In the general classification, Christophe Laporte retains his yellow jersey with a five-second lead over Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma), eleven over Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma), the three having achieved an extraordinary number on Sunday, and thirty-six over Pierre Latour (Total-Energies).
Tuesday's stage, 191 kilometers long and without major difficulties, will start from Vierzon (Cher) and take the peloton to Dun-Le-Palestel (Creuse).
What offer a new chance to sprinters.
