For the first time in the world, Bar Ilan University will award the title of "Doctor of Honor" to women only.
This will take place at a festive event in honor of eight influential women in a variety of fields, one of whom is Yael Arad, chair of the Olympic Committee and the first athlete in the history of the State of Israel to achieve a medal at the Olympic Games.
This year, the eight influential and groundbreaking women will receive an honorary doctorate in philosophy from Bar Ilan University.
This, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the community in which they operate and their impact on the various fields of knowledge.
The announcement of the title reads: "The title committee chose to raise the value of excellence that is a key element in the activities of the Olympic Committee for the transmission of sports culture in Israel, and Yael, as the first Israeli medalist to become a model for generations of young men and women, provided them with proof. And adherence to the goal - they too will be able to fulfill their dream. "
Together with Arad, they will receive the title of creator Hava Alberstein, Rebbetzin Malka Bina, Dr. Orna Berry (founder of Israeli high-tech), businesswoman Julia Zohar, Prof. Joan States, philanthropist Gail Prof. and author Galila Ron-Feder-Amit .
