The Men's Tennis Round (ATP) announced today (Tuesday) that the gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, Alexander Zebrav, will be suspended for eight weeks and fined $ 25,000 if he violates the code of unsportsmanlike conduct in the coming year, following his rampage at the Mexican Open.
As you may recall, Zebrav, who collaborated with Brazilian tennis player Marcelo Melo in the doubles tournament, approached the referee in a threatening manner and repeatedly hit his chair after a 6: 2 4: 6, 10: 6 defeat to British Lloyd Glasspool and Finnish Harry Liuara.
The German tennis player was nervous at the end of the same game in Acapulco and shouted at the referee "idiot Maz **", and after he finished hitting the referee's chair - he sat down and tried to relax, but suddenly got up, hit again, until his bat broke.
The contemptuous shouts from the crowd were not long in coming, as he in turn ignored it and handed one of the bats to a fan.

The tennis player who is currently ranked third and runner-up to the 2020 U.S. Open, has until Friday to appeal the sentence.
Meanwhile, in Zebrav's first competition since, he has won two singles matches to help Germany overtake Brazil in the Davis Cup match this weekend.
