The dress rehearsals of the two district football league teams SC Baldham-Vaterstetten and VfB Forstinning had more than one thing in common.
Both didn't exactly shine, but each caught up from a 0:2 deficit.
District
– With a 2-2 draw against TSV Eching, SC Baldham-Vaterstetten completed its preparations for the relegation battle in the district football league east.
The coach Gediminas Sugzda, who was hired (and returned) during the winter break, drew some positive conclusions from the encounter, but also distributed a few negative points.
“We made too many mistakes at the back, there is definitely still room for improvement here.”
Overall, the former Lithuania international rated the game as decent, but "I'm never completely satisfied".
From this, the expectations and the improvement claim of the trainer can already be seen.
"It was positive that we caught up 2-0 and played very powerfully, at least in the second half," emphasized Sugzda.
The rapid 0:2 deficit resulted from an own goal by Michael Reiter (8th) and another goal by Echinger Stefan Karl (22nd).
Thanks to the attacking pressure from Baldham-Vaterstetten in the second half, Marco Höferth (65') and Adrian Joszt (78') finally managed to equalize to make it 2-2.
SCBV will start next Saturday (3 p.m.) at TSV Otterfing.
The findings for Forstinnings coach Ivica Coric from the dress rehearsal against the district league club FC Schwabing Munich will have been manageable.
With a few short-term failures and shutdowns for the reserve, the flow of the game suffered significantly, especially in the first half.
"Schwabing played really well for us at the beginning," commented the 3rd VfB department head Thomas Schwarz on the first third, which was all about the guest.
Schwabing rightly led with goals from Giacinto Sibila (20') and Florian Mayer (30').
At least VfB showed a reaction and surprisingly equalized to make it 2-2 before the break by Abdullah Aynaci (32nd) and Mathias Hirt (41st).
After the restart, the picture was completely different.
The play equipment circulated smoothly through the VfB ranks, the guests could hardly free themselves from the embrace.
But Forstinning was at his wits end in the penalty area and no more goals were scored.
But that should change on Saturday at the start in Freilassing (2 p.m.).
