Objective fulfilled for the French visitors who are doing very well.
On the move on the lawn of FC Porto, leader of its championship, Olympique Lyonnais went for a victory which can be worth a lot (0-1), in the round of 16 first leg of the Europa League, Wednesday.
The French club nevertheless experienced a heat stroke in stoppage time with a goal disallowed for FC Porto (90th + 4).
Even if the away goal rule has disappeared this season, the achievement of Lucas Paqueta (59th) allows the Rhodaniens to consider the second leg with a small margin, knowing that OL remain undefeated in this competition.
Very strong performance by the #teamOL who won at the Stade du Dragon against a difficult FC Porto team to maneuver 🦾🔴🔵 #UEL

Facing a reactionary Portuguese team, the Lyonnais opened the scoring thanks to a three-way action started by Karl Toko-Ekambi on his left side.
Picking up in the middle, the Cameroonian international found Moussa Dembélé who cracked with a backheel towards Lucas Paqueta.
The Brazilian completed this move with a low left-footed shot into the opposite side netting.
A penalty refused
But very quickly, the Lyonnais almost became disillusioned.
Just minutes after the opener, FC Porto began a wave of offensives, one of which led to a penalty signaled by the referee for a handball from Lucas Paqueta (64th).
But after watching the video, the man in black finally reconsidered his initial decision to cancel this penalty because of this hand deemed involuntary.
The end of the match turned entirely to the advantage of the Portuguese who pushed against a physically challenged Lyonnais, and who even found the nets for Lopes, before their goal was logically disallowed for a fairly clear offside.
The essentials are preserved for OL who will host the FC Porto Dragons at Groupama Stadium on Thursday March 17 for a return match that promises to be high intensity.
