FC Bayern sign strikers from a dubious talent project – teenagers will probably be parked in the USA

Through a project team from FC Bayern, the record champions discovered a young striker from South America and apparently secured his services.

But first it should be awarded.

Munich – FC Bayern * has many different projects running.

In addition to the regular men's and women's teams as well as juniors and seniors, there is a legends team and an e-sports team.

But a relatively new project is a bit out of line, the "FC Bayern World Squad" - a campaign team of the record champions, in which young talents from some structurally weak parts of the world are promoted.

Now it seems as if they got lucky with an attacking player from the concept team.

In today's world football, hardly any top club does anything without considering its own benefit.

So the "FC Bayern World Squad" is a social project that gives 15 selected players from 15 nations the chance to play professional football, but there is something more behind it.

The selection of young talents trained by world champion Klaus Augenthaler* and the international FC Bayern* youth trainer Christopher Loch is not only for training, but also for the shooting of a six-part documentary in cooperation with the Volkswagen automobile group.

The project can be viewed critically with regard to the media self-presentation, also because it seems to be more about marketing than the talents themselves.

Even Jörg Wacker, Board Member for Internationalization and Strategy until September 2021, describes the "World Squad" in the members'

as a project that is well received by fans, partners and the media, and it also "helps enormously to spread our brand", says Wacker.

"The talents that we have selected from a wide variety of countries through this project are closely observed in their home countries: everyone is wondering whether one of them can really make it to become a player at FC Bayern.

We ourselves are very excited."

The statements seem more like documentary trailers than serious youth work with promising international young players, even if the players were equipped with individually tailored training plans according to the VW website.

Nonetheless, one actor actually seems to be taking his chance.

The atypical mix of international players includes some talents who already play for big clubs in their home country.

One of them is the Colombian José Mulato Palacios, who as an 18-year-old was even allowed to train with the professionals under Julian Nagelsmann* at the beginning of October.

The 19-year-old is under contract with ten-time Colombian champions Deportivo Cali and has already made his first appearances in the top division of his home country.

FC Bayern: Munich secure the services of a striker talent - planned loan to the USA

The U19 international of Colombia is said to be still under contract with Deportivo Cali, as

now reports, Bayern secured the storm talent.

Similar to Chris Richards*, who is currently on loan at Hoffenheim, the Munich Mulato Palacios want to first lend to the partner club FC Dallas, where it should develop.

Should the attacker be recommended for a return to Germany or for resale, the "FC Bayern World Squad" project would have been worthwhile.
