A big task for FC Penzberg: they want seventh place

FC Penzberg's futsal players had to digest the 1:10 defeat against HOT 05.

The next important game is coming up - it's against tactically experienced Düsseldorfers.

Penzberg – The FC Penzberg futsal team has been a week without a coach.

Andreas Brunner, a teacher by profession, had to go to the ski camp until Friday.

He handed over the command to Maximilian Kalus & Co., but informed himself very well about the work of his team.

The session on Wednesday was important "to get the images out of my head" - the memories of the ten goals conceded at HOT 05 in Saxony.

The healing process started early anyway for half of the team.

Those who also play football for Penzberg celebrated a 5-0 win in the district league the following day.

"That always helps," says Brunner.

Just before such a duel: The most important game in the season finale is on Sunday in Düsseldorf (1.15 p.m.).

After staying up in the league was more or less sealed, the FCP switched to seventh place.

FC Penzberg makes a guest appearance at Fortuna Düsseldorf

Fortuna Düsseldorf is seventh, two points ahead of Penzberg.

This place will probably save you a duel with HOT 05 in round one.

"Not that we want to be German champions," jokes the coach.

With all due respect to the West Saxons: "HOT is not a particularly welcome guest," says Andreas Brunner.

2:17 goals in two Bundesliga duels are enough.

The Penzbergers would like another guest for the play-off home game, which will probably take place on Easter Sunday and from which they want to make a successful farewell spectacle.

As opponents, they would much prefer Weilimdorf or Stuttgart, who interpret futsal as an offensive sport.

To make such dreams come true, you need a win in Düsseldorf.

As in the first leg, one of the few times FCP was really lucky.

When the score was 4: 4, Düsseldorf gambled away, played a bad pass in the majority, Maximilian Kalus hit the empty goal.

Andreas Brunner expects an "absolutely open game".

He examined Fortuna: During his scan, he came across a tactically very versatile team that likes to change their build-up game.

Fortuna's most important player is Christian de Groodt, the man with the double role.

As a goalkeeper he should prevent hits and initiate attacks at the same time.

Düsseldorf uses his discards as a means to quickly get into the opposing half.

In addition, de Groodt always turns on the offensive as a fifth field player.

In training, Penzberg practiced defending outnumbered and counterattacking.

This week again with a decent squad.

Almost all of the regular cast takes the train to Düsseldorf.

The osteopath's treatment worked for Captain Kalus.
