The bronze medalist from the team competition at the Tokyo Olympics, Raz Hershko, held a special battle today (Saturday) against the Iranian judoka Said Moulay.
The fight took place in Prague, where the Israeli women's team held a training camp last week, which was also attended by Mulai, the silver medalist from Tokyo (up to 81 kg), who even visited Israel last month during the Grand Slam in Tel Aviv, but did not take part after suffering an injury. And only recovered from Corona.
"There was no winner," said Hershko, a competitor in the over 78kg category. "Training camps are always good because it allows me to meet and train with people I don't always have the opportunity to train with.
"Thank you to the head coach of the team, Shani Hershko, for being in the Czech Republic in a strong training camp."

"This camp is good and a lot of good Jews came from all over the world. Among them all there is one special one - Said Moulay the silver medalist from the Tokyo Olympics. I had the privilege to fight with him and believe me it was not easy. I had the opportunity to get to know him as an athlete "One thing I can say - no matter where he comes from, he is a special man besides being a great athlete, with a fascinating life story. So thank you Said for showing us all that sport is above all."
The big goal of the judo teams will be at the end of April, with the European Championships to be held this year in Sofia, Bulgaria.
