Exciting news from the United States: Delonta West will try to return to playing basketball in a competitive league.

The 38-year-old former NBA player, who entered a drug rehab facility in 2020 after becoming homeless due to addiction and the mental problems he suffered, will this week participate in tests for the BIG3 League, which features dozens of players who have starred in the NBA in the past two decades.

After being recently documented throwing to the basket, yesterday (Saturday) a video of West was posted on BIG3's official Twitter that demonstrated impressive shooting skills during his preparations for tests to be held in Washington, his hometown.

Remember, Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks who was one of the teams West played for during his career, offered his help to a former basketball player when it became known that the latter had become homeless and his condition was particularly worrying.

Cuban funded for West the stay at the rehab facility in Florida he entered about two years ago, when after a year in which his condition improved he went from patient to employee at the facility.

Last October West was arrested once again after knocking on Florida police station doors and cursing cops while holding alcoholic beverages in his hands, but he claimed his innocence and hoped the charges against him would be dropped in order to reintegrate into the basketball industry.
