FC Bayern always aims to employ the best German players.

The people of Munich are therefore watching an internationally courted teenager from a Bundesliga competitor.

Leverkusen – At first glance, Florian Wirtz's performance data are reminiscent of a hard-nosed offensive veteran.

This season alone, the young international from Leverkusen was responsible for seven goals and ten assists in 23 Bundesliga games, and he has already had seven goals in six Europa League games – and that at the age of 18.

So it's no wonder that the third-placed playmaker is being talked about by the top clubs in Europe.

FC Bayern Munich* is obviously one of those interested.

The Italian, who previously worked for Sky Sport Italia, is one of the most trusted sources when it comes to transfers.

According to Romano's information, the two Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid * and FC Barcelona should watch the teenager.

And FC Bayern * is also obviously involved.

So far, however, none of the clubs have made any progress.

A commitment from Florian Wirtz would certainly fit into the requirements profile of the Munich team, who traditionally secure the best DFB kickers and usually make up the core of the national team.

Bayern lost out to Kai Havertz* in the summer of 2020, as the 22-year-old decided to move to Chelsea, where he has since become a world-class player.

Understandably, the people of Munich don't want to exceed their financial limits, which is why a transfer in the future also depends on the demands and the accommodation of the Leverkusen team.

Kai Havertz moved from Leverkusen to England in 2020 for about 80 million euros plus bonuses, which by Bayern standards would have been manageable.

In view of his consistency and his experience from currently 77 competitive games for Bayer 04, Wirtz could even be a little more expensive than his DFB* team-mate.

A transfer of the super talent from Leverkusen is not planned for the upcoming summer anyway, writes Romano.

Recently, Bayer CEO Fernando Carro also spoke a word of power and told

a few days ago that he was not only counting on Florian Wirtz until 2023, "but at least until 2024".

The four-time national player is contractually bound to the Werkself until 2026.

With a Wirtz sale, Bayer could collect the new record transfer fee after the Havertz deal.

It remains to be seen whether FC Bayern will be able and even willing to pay them by then.
