The Syrian handball team will start the Asian Women's Championship, which will be held in Kazakhstan on the 18th of this month, by meeting the host country's team next Friday.

Our team will meet its Uzbek counterpart at 21-3 and Iran at 23-3, and the first round will end with a meeting with India at 25-3.

In a statement to SANA, the head of the General Sports Federation, Firas Maalla, confirmed that our national teams in the junior and junior categories are the mainstay of our teams in the higher categories and a basic nucleus for the men's and women's teams in various games.

During his reception of the women's handball team, which will participate in the Asian Championship, Maalla explained that the General Sports Federation provided everything necessary morally and materially for the success of the participation and to show an honorable image of the Syrian handball, especially the female one.

Member of the Executive Office, Head of the Collective Games Office, Bashir Abboud, said, "We follow the team in all its details, and we have great confidence in the technical and administrative staff and the players to provide a technical level that reflects the development of handball in recent times.

For his part, Chairman of the Handball Federation’s Steering Committee, Muhammad Ali Ghazi, referred to the players’ determination and strong will to provide everything possible to appear well in the tournament, noting the efforts made by the Executive Office to overcome all difficulties in order to stabilize participation.
