It was a perfect start: SpVgg Kammerberg deservedly beat FSV Pfaffenhofen 2-0.
The goals were scored by Niklas Kiermeier and Marius Cosa.
Kammerberg
– The SpVgg Kammerberg footballers were missing several players in the first district league game in 2022.
But the eleven of player-coach Matthias Koston defied the failures, achieved an important 2-0 win against FSV Pfaffenhofen and thus made the jump out of the relegation zone.
Four players were injured
Leander Lask, Jascha Beck, Christoph Spielberger and Marcel Truntschka were injured at SpVgg, but Alex Nefzger took a seat on the bench.
"Considering that so many people weren't there, we played a good first half," said Kammerberg's team manager Klaus Kollmair.
And further: “There was speed in there.
In general, it was a very good game in the district league.” However, this one didn't have any chances before the break because both teams neutralized each other in midfield.
Kammerberg reacted at the speed of thought
This changed after the change of sides, Kammerberg acted at the speed of thought: In the 52nd minute, the game union quickly took a free kick in midfield - Niklas Kiermeier shot free and made it 1-0.
Nine minutes later, Patrick Sturm extended a long ball to Marius Cosa, who made it 2-0.
The victory didn't wobble in the period that followed, because the Kammerbergers didn't allow anything behind and brought the first three points in the 2022 calendar year safely to the finish line.
"A great start that we didn't expect," emphasized Kollmair after the final whistle.
